PB Queue/ Support

How can we help?

Quick answers to the questions hosts ask most often. If you don't see what you need, email us and a real human reads every message.

Getting started

Just downloaded the app? Start here.

How do I run my first session?

Three steps:

  • Open the app and tap New session.
  • Add players one by one, or paste a list (one name per line) into the bulk-add field.
  • Set how many courts you have, then tap Stage Next and Start Match.

That's it. PB Queue tracks who's played, who's waiting, and what's next. Tap a team to score, long-press to undo, hit End match when the game's over.

How do I add players quickly?

Two ways. Add them one at a time with the + Add player button at the top of the roster, or use Bulk add and paste a list, one name per line. You can also add latecomers any time mid-session; they slot into the queue based on fairness rules.

How do I set player skill tiers?

Tap a player's name in the roster to open their card. Choose Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Expert. PB Queue uses these to group courts by skill so games stay competitive. You can change a player's tier at any time.

How do partner links work?

If two players always want to play together (a married couple, a coach + student, etc.), open one player's card and tap Link partner. The matchmaking engine will keep them on the same team whenever both are available.

Running the session

Matchmaking, scoring, and the live court view.

Can I override the auto-matchmaker?

Always. Tap any player slot on a court to swap them. Use Shuffle on a court to redo the teams without changing the four players on it. Or build a court from scratch: tap each empty slot, pick a player. The algorithm only runs when you ask it to.

How does the rest queue work?

Players not currently on a court are in the rest queue, ordered by how long they've been waiting. When you stage the next round, PB Queue prioritizes players who have (1) sat out longest and (2) played the fewest games overall, while avoiding repeat partner and opponent pairings.

How do I mark someone as resting or away?

Tap a player in the roster to open their options, then tap the Rest button (they'll skip the next round but stay in the session) or the Away button (removed from rotation entirely). Tap to reactivate.

Can I add or remove courts mid-session?

Yes. Tap + Court to add one when a court opens up, or long-press a court to remove it (its players go back to the rest queue). The rotation rebalances automatically.

How do I score a match?

Tap a team's tile to add a point. Long-press to undo. Tap End match to finalize. You can save a full score, just a winner, or skip scoring entirely. Then tap Next round to stage the next matchup.

Pro & purchases

One-time unlock. No subscription.

What does PB Queue Pro unlock?

Unlimited players (free is capped at 16), up to 10 courts (free is capped at 2), CSV export of any session, the last 50 sessions saved to history, and custom court names. One-time $9.99, no renewal.

How do I restore Pro on a new device?

Open the app, go to Settings → Restore purchases. Sign in to the same App Store or Google Play account you used originally and Pro will reactivate.

I want a refund.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. On iOS, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, go to the Play Store, find the order, and tap Refund. Both stores have their own windows and policies.

Will Pro ever become a subscription?

No. PB Queue Pro is a one-time purchase by design. We don't have user accounts to bill against, and we have no plans to add a subscription tier.

Data & privacy

Where your session lives, and what we can (and can't) see.

Is my session data uploaded anywhere?

No. PB Queue stores every session, player, and result on your device only. We don't run servers, don't collect analytics, and have no way of seeing your data. The only network activity is the optional in-app purchase, processed by Apple or Google.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Settings → Clear all sessions & preferences. Or just delete the app, and everything goes with it.

How do I move data to a new device?

Because PB Queue stores data locally and has no account system, sessions don't sync between devices. Pro can be restored on a new device via Settings, but past session history stays on the device where it was created. Use CSV export (Pro) if you want to keep a record.
